Well, one person who wasn't at that funeral was Mark Carney, the Prime Minister of Canada. And here in

Toronto, we've been watching him on the road. And one unifying theme between Rome and Toronto is Donald Trump. Welcome to a special edition

of the newsagents. The Newsagents. It's Emily in Rome. And it's John in Toronto, where we're

going to hear an awful lot more about the Canadian election as Canadians go to

vote tomorrow Monday at the polls. And of course, everything being upended this morning by news

of this terrible incident in Vancouver in which someone drove into a crowd of concert goers and

nine people have been killed. Mark Carney has suspended campaigning or has paused campaigning as the Canadians

try to find out more information about that. But I guess we've got to start with Rome.

A mateless, it's a day of unbelievable images. A papal funeral, the cardinals, the choirs, the pomp and the

ceremony. And yet one image, one image of two

blokes sitting on two chairs, very close to each other, is dominating. And of course, Donald Trump

at the centre of that. Yeah, Rome is really feeling like the centre of the world right now.

Because with all those costumes, with all the panoply, with all the

ceremony, with all the music, with all the grace that really went into the funeral of Pope Francis,

there is, as you say, that one image that kind of emerged, which has changed the whole conversation
