Hey all and welcome to this special edition of the O. C. D. Stories podcast. Now it's a little different today. Firstly you'll

notice this is a Wednesday when this came out, not the usual Sunday. If you've

been listening for a long time you know they come out every Sunday. And what I'm

doing for the month of October because OCD Awareness Week is in October. Instead of just doing the one week, what I'm going to do is release an extra episode on every Wednesday throughout the month of October.

Wednesday or for four Wednesdays in October I have asked a former guest of the show to pick someone who they want to interview and pick the topic if there's a specific topic and cover that.

So other than me picking those four people I've had no control over the

topics or the guests so I wanted it to be fresh for me as well as you guys. I'm sure they're

all deliver and there will be unique perspectives different from what I would do which is what I wanted.

So the first one is with Catherine Benfield. She's been on the show a few times. She's a good friend of mine. She's a wonderful

OCD advocate and you may know her from her work on Taming Olivia and all the links have been in the show notes for her. But in it she decided to interview

Steve Bromwell who is a writer and director and Catherine's working with him on his short film

called Waving. And in this episode they talk about Steve's

O. C. D. Story. How he hid the disorder as a child. How a documentary helped

him understand what was going on for him.
