Hey, welcome back to Relatable Sources. I'm Brian Stelter. We're going to head to the White House beat now,

and I was going to begin with Alex Acosta resigning from the Trump Cabinet, just the latest example of a Trump administration official resigning in the wake of real investigative

reporting.

But I'd like to begin instead with the president's most recent tweet storm with a clear example

of racism.

The president saying that Congresswomen, progressive Congresswomen, should go back to where they came from, fix their countries, and then come back to the US.

Let me bring in Katie Rogers of the New York Times.

She's been writing about this. Her story is up on my times right now

and she's taken a few minutes to come on with us

before she goes back to work.

Katie, what happens on a morning like this?

All you were going to do this morning, I hope,

is come on reliable sources and then you've

got to write a story about the president's tweets.

Yeah I mean well I to that to be to be sure we always wake up on Sunday or Saturday

mornings with the expectation that we will be writing something

about what the president has tweeted.

This particular attack against these four congresswomen came sandwiched between tons of retweets of his supporters and it just is on a day

when there are ice raids across the country it's a very noisy day.
