Guys can't just lay in the back expecting big ones and not have their way, not have that track

position and think they're going to have a chance of contend it at the end.

I mean, this is one of those tracks, though, still where a guy like a guy who's had a bad

year so far, Bubba Wallace, you know, he's a good speedway racer that, you know, he doesn't lay

back. He goes up there, like you said, and he attacks it. And I think this is like a weekend

where someone like him could make some noise and maybe get back on the right footing. There are 32,

33 guys that are capable of finding their way to the front.

You just have to be, you have to have a really good strategy.

You have to play the fuel game backwards to try to take the least amount of fuel late as

possible so you can leapfrog the guys who've been race around all day.

And you've got to pick the right lanes at the right top.

It really and truly is who your dancing partners are. And sometimes you don't get to pick

who you're dancing with. Even if I have to dance with Merriman. He's got two left feet.

He does. Is it, do you, do you circle this one? You circle this one? You circle Atlanta?

So Atlanta is much more of a handling race and you can kind of make some, make some hay if your stuff handles and use the middle and put guys in bad spots.

Talladega really is a straight up speed, and there's not a lot of options.

The third groove can't quite get going, can't quite get the numbers, because handling really doesn't come into play.

So you've got to take position when you can because just guys generally don't get flushed

down the middle.

Guys generally can't go from 10th to second.
