We're watching very carefully for Boca Chica Texas and SpaceX's ambition to launch

yet another test of Starship Super Heavy.

And then suddenly an email shows up very handsomely done with SpaceX's

I'm promonture at the top, explaining that the next launch for Starship Super Heavy can be as early as June 5th. I hesitated and I

welcome Bob Zimmerman to find out if he hesitated too because Bob a very good

evening to you I don't want to presume, but there was something about this for sure that tells me it is not written in stone.

Good evening, John. The very first sentence of that announcement gave it away. But before I talk about, let's review what this could be. June 5th is the date SpaceX is tentatively targeting for the fourth Starship super-heavy orbital test flight.

It's going to be pretty similar to the previous one where a Starship will coast in orbit

for a short period of time and then come down over the Indian Ocean for safety reasons.

The main goal of this particular flight will be to work on getting both super- and Starship to come down gently over the ocean.

That's so that down the road they can be reused and more important with Starship,

they can bring cargo up and bring cargo back, bring people up and bring people back.

And so that's the main goal.

But the first sentence of that announcement was very crucial, and I'll quote it, the fourth test flight of Starship could launch as

soon as June 5th pending regulatory approval and we must highlight the last

three words because what those tell us is that SpaceX does not yet have a

launch permit from the FAA. Now SpaceX because it's now announced the

launch date is very clearly it can completed its own investigation of the third launch in March

has figured out what it needed to change and update in this most recent vehicle that

it's sending up into space and is ready to launch. The FAA has its own
