South Park has announced a new exclusive streaming event coming to Paramount Plus called The Panda

Verse. And from the looks of things, it is going to absolutely skewer blackwashing and modern

diversity, but casting a lot of you guys may not know this about me. But years ago, I was a huge

South Park fan. I had seen every episode and actually when I first started making YouTube videos,

not on this channel, but on my other channel. It's just Lauren Chen where I talk about

current events and like political and social issues. When I started making videos over there,

my avatar was like a little South Park character of me. I really loved the show and it's not

that I no longer like this show. It's just one of those things where I don't find it as interesting

as I used to. It's not that I find it bad. It's just not necessarily up there in the list of

shows that I find myself being really committed to. And I think my interest kind of waned at the time

when they started doing less episodic episodes and more attempting to weave a whole narrative

throughout a season. I wasn't as much a fan of that. But anyway, it's things like this and the

panda verse that remind me why I was such a huge South Park fan in the first place because

love them or hate them, love or hate the show. You definitely cannot say that South Park is

afraid to pull punches or that the show doesn't have. It's hand on the pulse of the culture.
