A couple of months ago, we announced a competition called Sound Off, where I invited listeners

to submit a fully produced short story about sound that's around five minutes or less.

Essentially, their own many 20,000 Hertz episodes produced entirely by our audience. Now, I was expecting maybe eight or ten submissions.

The hope was to get enough to make one full episode out of the winning stories.

And for a while, that's about how many we got. But right before the deadline,

the submissions came flooding in, and our whole team was shocked to see 57 entries. When I saw
