Welcome back to school's over now with the podcast, and I'm excited. I have somebody here today. She's a speaker. She's an author. And I just think she's overall just phenomenal. Miss Pauliana Reed is on the show today. How are you?

0:12.7

Hello. Hello. I'm fantastic. How are you? Doing great. So people are looking you up right now. They're searching all through Instagram, trying to find out more about you as we speak.

0:21.2

And I want to go back to like you as a kid growing up. Tell us a little bit about your background

0:26.2

story. Yeah, absolutely. So it's interesting because I feel like our generation is so stuck on

0:33.7

titles. We're the CEO, we're the marketing director. So I always try to encourage people

0:39.0

to think about and start nurturing who they are beyond it. Right. So I like to say that I'm a

0:44.8

millennial woman who has fought for her dreams and won. Right. And I say that because when I was

0:50.6

younger, like I was bullied and tormented in school. I was not the cool kid. You know, dudes were not checking for me. Like, you know, I was younger, like I was bullied and tormented in school. I was not the cool kid. You know,

0:56.0

dudes were not checking for me. Like, you know what I mean? I didn't fit into, I didn't fit into

1:01.1

the clicks. And so I always felt misunderstood. And so a lot of the work that I do today is as

1:07.3

as the result is from the result of like being trying to figure out myself and like

1:12.3

sharing similar paths with other millennials of like being stuck in that gray area because when

1:17.5

we're younger we're taught that we can be anything and everything we want to be and then we grow up

1:22.4

and we go to high school and everyone's like nah bro like he needs to be a little bit more

1:26.3

realistic and it's it toyed with my mind.

1:29.2

It, like, totally screwed me over because now that I had to be realistic, I was like,

1:33.5

I'm someone who's imaginative, I'm creative.

1:36.5

And so for me, to who's a natural, I color outside the lines,

1:40.5

for someone to put me in a box and to label me was very frustrating for me. And that's

1:45.3

where downward spiral began. Wow. So like, like so when people were labeling me and putting

1:50.7

you in a box, like where did you feel like that way like early off in childhood? Was it like high

1:55.6

school? What was it for you when you start to feel that way? Yeah. Well, I think in high school,
