It was mayhem.

All the singing stopped.

All the going to butlin stopped.

The families that were having stewed together was now at war.

The young girls that were playing skipping were now the young girls that were now heroin addicts.

Three brothers that ended up on heroin.

They were like 13 or 14 or 14 and 15 that age and that along with another

100 to 200 young men and women in our community. Welcome everybody this is Simon Gilbo

with Inspired. Great to be back for another week. I'm just back from the big church festival and it was

so nice being repeatedly accosted by people

saying, well, how much they're enjoying it, how much it's impacting them. Anna Shaw, I said I'd

mention her just because it was so encouraging to me because she said, Simon, your podcast has made

me more bold. I came, I come off the hour and I'm more bold and so, you know, I had the courage to pray for someone immediately on the back of it. And that's what I hope it does in general. It leaves you inside. And in our's time, I have no doubt you're going to be inspired again. We get different people, different mates of mine from all sorts of different sort of journeys. And, you know, this is basically, if you're new to us,

is to counter out the fact that we're bombarded relentlessly by a fear narrative, by the news

that just curates all the bad stuff in the world to make us depressed or anxious or cynical.

And so we need good news. And yeah, no doubt this week, because you're going to love it because because we got with us, Noel. Kenny, welcome Noel. Hello, how are you? Hello everybody. Brilliant. So good to have you, mate. So Noel's in Dublin, he's the founder and one of the pastors of Liberty Church, a network of churches, planted five churches. And I mean, I think our paths crossed way back and I used to come to the new

wine and in Sligo's New Wine Island and you're doing fantastic stuff I don't want to say much more

than that because I just want to get into it and you know again I was listening to some of your

story this morning and you know I come from a privileged upbringing you know with a well you had

mum and dad who are together and stuff but it was just a very different journey that you've had

from mine so anyway tell us about what it was like growing up in the Inicity flat complex in Dublin
