Hi, this is Imran Ahmed, founder and CEO of the Business of Fashion, and this week we're sharing a very special conversation I had with Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and Carla Bookman at Voices 2018.

20 million internet users. In 2017, India had 462 million internet users. And by 2025, experts are predicting that there will be more than 850 million internet users,

mostly using cheap smartphones with very cheap data access.

This has transformed the online media market and is driving social activism and change in India's culture and community.

Carla Bookman is the founder and editor of the Swaddle, a women's health and culture site,

which publishes original news, features, and opinion, covering health care, science, gender, mental health and culture,

and often focuses on issues that aren't openly discussed in the mainstream media.

And Sonam Kapoor Ahuja is one of India's most famous faces and one of the highest paid

actresses in Bollywood. As well as being one of Bollywood's most commercially successful actresses,

Sonam is also India's most watched fashionista. She is the longstanding face for L'Oreal India,

on Instagram alone, Sonam has a platform and voice to affect change. She has been very opinionated
