Hey everybody. Welcome to another episode of EMS 2020. My name is Chris. That is Spencer. Spencer,

0:49.8

how you doing? You know, I'm all right, man. I'm doing okay I'm a little tired not gonna

0:55.2

lie the other day yeah we were up all night so we we took a flight and we hit a

1:01.6

fucking bird and like not not like a huge thing we didn't know we hit it at the time we heard

1:07.2

a thunk and my immediate thought was like shit shit, I'm the new guy. Did I leave

1:10.9

something on this kid? And so I immediately like tabulate, make sure I have like everything with

1:15.0

me. I'm like, okay, good, not me. And we just thought it was something that fell over somewhere

1:17.9

in the aircraft. And then we landed, of course, and discovered, we hit a bird. So here's my

1:26.1

thing. I'm not saying I hate birds, but I now hate birds because we landed on

1:31.7

that helipad and it should have been just an early like twilight call and then back in time to

1:36.1

go back to bed. But no, we were out there waiting hours upon hours for a mechanic to come out and

1:40.9

make sure that we could fly back, which is great and safety. But here's the thing I don't

1:44.0

understand about birds. If you ever see like a bird on the ground and you try and approach it,

1:47.8

it flies away if you so much as breathe wrong. I mean, you've got to coax it closer to you with

1:52.6

food. But apparently, if you fly a one-ton man-made hurricane at it, it's just going to come right at you. It's like birds and deer sat down and said, all right, guys, humans, not so bad

2:02.2

inside of vehicles, go right up to them.
