It started with a rainy day. I wanted to get the kids off the sofa and stop watching TV.

So I searched rainy day activities on Tik-Tock.

There were loads of hacks on there, but the kids really liked making a bird feeder.

It's amazing what you can do with a milk carton and a handful of seeds.

We hung it outside the window and the birds loved it almost as much as the kids.

Who knew a bird box could be this entertaining?

The forest is black, pitch black.

I pound over the dirt trail, my feet turning the petals like twin pistons.

The bicycle bounces and jolts, shuddering as it rolls across the wooden bridge.

There's something in the air tonight. A chill.

But it isn't the chill of autumn. No, this is the chill of unease.

It crawls up my spine carrying the deep-rooted knowledge that something about these woods,

something about this trail isn't right.

It's the unmistakable dread of being watched.

Pursued.

I stand up and ride harder.

My lungs burn with every push of the petals,

but I can't shake the feeling

that I need to get out of these woods fast.

The hospital is 20 minutes away.

I just need to make it there. I'm close. So close.
