Hey there, beautiful people. Welcome to Fantaid, the podcast for all those complex and

0:08.0

complicated conversations about the great areas in our lives. I am editor and journalist

0:15.2

and authoress times to Trevell Anderson. And I am fucking exhausted ready for a break

0:21.8

and ready to get into this conversation. I am excited to chat a little bit later about

0:27.7

social media influence and just like being on social media as a part of your job. We'll

0:33.4

be talking about that in just a little bit. But I first want to get into this past the popcorn

0:39.2

that is kind of started off by a conversation that I started having with some friends via text

0:43.6

about someone that I was talking to briefly. That's a whole other conversation. But I tweeted

0:50.4

also then choose to notify anyway, which means that they'll get the alert even if they're

1:17.2

on do not disturb. So I tweeted that quote notify anyway is supposed to be reserved for urgent

1:24.0

or emergency situations. Am I right? Before I move on from there, Trevelle, what is your

1:30.0

perspective on this? I think it depends on one's definition of urgent or emergency. Because

1:40.2

what's urgent or emergency to you may not be urgent or emergency to me and vice versa. And so

1:49.6

I might hit it because it is urgent or emergency for me. And it might not be for you. That's not

1:57.5

necessarily what you're talking about. But that's how I feel about the whole notify anyway thing.

2:01.9

Like I'm going to hit that button if I need or desire an answer sooner rather than later.

2:08.8

So I generally agree with you that it should be something that people use for emergencies or that
