Hello, good friends on this Friday morning, January 24.

Welcome to the Bill Press Pod and welcome to this week's Reporter's Roundtable.

Well, Trump, too, certainly got off to a wild launch this week,

starting with the inauguration

of the 47th president in the Capitol Rotunda on Monday, but hitting a big speed bump

yesterday with a federal judge shooting down Donald Trump's plan, at least temporarily,

to unilaterally end the practice of constitutional birthright enshrined in the Constitution.

In between, President Trump wasted no time fulfilling campaign promises

with dozens of executive orders overturning Biden climate change policies,

declaring an emergency at the southern border, ordering federal employees back to the office five days a week,

and, in effect, declaring war on Panama, and most notably surprising even his vice president,

by granting a full and unconditional pardon to some 1,500 mega supporters involved in the January 6th attack on the Capitol,

including some 600 charged with assaulting police officers.

As was true, the first time around, and we remember, Trump throws so much out there so fast,

it's hard for us to keep track of it all or even give it the

attention it deserves, but we'll try to make some sense of it all with today's panel. So let's
