That's right.

Normally it's the Earful Tower, but this week we're going to be descending into the depths of Paris,

into the catacombs.

And when I say the catacombs, I don't mean the bright, cheery, well-lit exit through the gift shop museum of Paris. I'm talking about

the other bit, the illegal bit, the thigh-high boots, headlamp, sneak in when no one's watching,

try and avoid the police while you're down there catacombs. I'm talking about the catacombs where people sometimes go missing,

where there are sometimes cave-ins.

I'm talking about where people used to go for, and still do, I think,

for illegal rave parties and cinema screenings,

where cult figures meet to discuss cultish things. But that is not what happened

when I went down there. In fact, when I went down there, it was for an explore with two very

sensible, very knowledgeable and very interesting guys who you're about to meet. But before I say

anything, I want to just stress, as these guys explained during the episode,

safety is hugely, hugely important down there.

Do not follow in my footsteps.

And if you really, really feel like you must go with a guide who knows the way,

because there are all kinds of horrible stories that come

from down there.

And the second point is this is a 300 year old series of tunnels that must be respected.

We got to respect it at all time.
