One of my all-time favorite foods anywhere is French fries.

This body didn't happen by accident.

And so when I heard that the Golden Oak Outpost here in Frontierland

was serving waffle fries with three different toppings,

you had me at hello.

Believe it or not some of the best food you can find at Walt Disney World

isn't located at a fancy sit-down restaurant or even a counter service location

in this week's snack of the week I'm going to share with you one of my favorite food items in the parks.

I'm Lou Manjello and this is Disney in a minute.

I order the waffle fries with brown gravy and cheese and my love for French fries being served this way

really began back when I lived in New Jersey and we used to call them disco fries

because obviously that's what you ordered at the diner after you went to the club at

night but my love really turned into an

obsession once I tried poutine the Canadian way really from Quebec of serving

French fries with brown gravy and cheese curds.

That's the proper way to do it.

This is a little bit of a frontier land take on it

because they're using waffle fries instead of french fries.

It doesn't matter.

They're all part of the fry family. And in my mind this food is healthy because it's got the potato group and the dairy group and the gravy group. It's sort of covered in awesome sauce.
