The question is, how much money was spent in the United States on Mother's Day this year?

Wrong, wrong, wrong, 36 billion, which was 4 billion more than last year.

My goodness, Gene, is this a secret?

Now, did small businesses take advantage?

What is your measure?

Well, that was sort of round up a bunch of stories I did.

I talked to a bunch of small business owners in Philly.

Mother's Day, John, is just incredible how much money is spent.

Everybody has to do something for Mother's Day, right?

So it's a obligatory.

So small businesses in the Philadelphia area, which is very indicative of the rest of

the country, we're very busy.

There are a lot of businesses that obviously specialize in brunch, but then there are like,

you know, one business that does like natural products, handmade and eco-friendly, body

care products, perfect for mom.

She had special sales that she was doing on that day.

Other people like a cafe owner in Philadelphia, you know, has special wine offerings, spas

or offering special beauty bags and days away for their, you know, for moms to take advantage

of, crafts and flowers, stores all around the area.
