Dr. Elias Zerhouni is a scientist, radiologist and biomedical engineer who spent much of his career on the faculty of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, serving as its executive vice-dean, and was the Director of the National Institutes of Health from 2002 to 2008, in the George W. Bush administration.
