Welcome back to Kid Short Stories. Today's story is brought to us by one of our

listeners who left a review on our Apple podcast. And guess what? It's her birthday. Everyone say

happy birthday Sloane! Wow I can't believe that you are six now that's huge that's

really you're getting old and she had an idea for a story and it's so cool. It's about

Oh wait, I can't tell you. It's a surprise. Are you ready for the story?

Me too. Let's go! One morning, Sloane woke up and came downstairs to eat some breakfast. Every morning, she would eat her favorite breakfast and listen to her favorite

stories from her favorite podcast.

It was a great morning.

And this one morning when she was listening to this one story,

the story was talking about a unicorn that lived up on a mountain that was pretty close to her house and that the unicorn had this magical cake that it made. It was a glitter cake and something magical

would happen if you ate it. And she thought that was amazing.

Wait a second, she said,

Thursday, you're telling me there's a unicorn up on the mountain right by her house?

She looked up to her parents and said, I have got to go check and see if this is real.

And everyone said, so honey, I think that's just a story. I think, I don't know if that's real or not, but don't get your hopes up, okay?

She said, oh, no, I'm very sure it's got to be real because it's the mountain right by our house and it talks about

unicorns and magical cake and I got to go see if it's real

So I put her shoes on and

Hiked outside to the backyard to look where the mountain was

There it was Mount Montgomery. There it is. That is the mountain where the unicorns live. Let's go.

Sloane started hiking up the mountain, Mount Montgomery.
