Quantum of Solis picks up right where Casino Royale left off,

where James Bond had tracked down Mr. White,

the man responsible for Vesperlin's death.

He takes him to debriefing in Sienna, Italy.

And from there, Mr. White escapes and James Bond goes on the hunt for this mysterious organization that he's got to track down to get revenge.

Which is called Quantum. Hence the title of the movie. The title of the movie actually comes from a small phrase in one of the Ian Fleming books.

It's a quantum of solace is like a bit of respite, a moment of rest.

But this is not, this is an entirely original bond plot.

It's an entirely original bond plot, but they took that phrase,

and then they extrapolated the name of this new spectre-like organization

where everyone wears a cue on their lapel.

Right, one of those top secret organizations where you wear a lapel pin.

Yeah, one of those top secret organizations where you wear the insignia all the time.

Like if only there was an al-Qaeda lapel pin.

If only there was an al-Qaeda lapel pin, it would be much, much easier.

And so this organization, they work with the CIA, and they topple governments and instigate

coups and do all these crazy stuff.
