I thought a great way to wrap up the year would be an Ask Me Anything episode,

so I invited all the premium members to send me questions.

I got so many, I had to split it into two parts.

So this week I've got general questions about me and the show, and next week we've got questions about specific topics.

It's been so great to hear from so many of you so we're going to dive right in.

First question please.

Hey Brian, it's Alex. You've said before that there was a time in your life that you were seriously drawn to the kind of topics you often cover,

and it was the same with me so I can relate. Is there a certain variety of those

whether it's cryptozoology, ghost stories, uFO yarns or whatever that you're still nostalgic for sometimes that even if you don't believe

them anymore you still enjoy a good story.

Definitely and it's all of the above. I don't know if it was just me or if it's most people or if it's little kids in general but up until my teens I was predisposed to believe in just about anything. Tell me it was forbidden knowledge or a hidden truth or

so knew that scientists didn't accept it yet and I was all in.

Over the years, belief in Bigfoot and ghosts and aliens evolved into curiosity for why the stories

existed and what made people believe them.
