Red rains are not all that uncommon around the world, but a while ago one in India was

so particularly intense that everyone figured there must be some extraordinary cause.

Everything from blood to alien spores was proposed.

Although the local government office very quickly and accurately identified the true cause,

it was the alien explanation that stuck.

The red rain of India is coming up right now, unskeptoid.
