Hey, everybody, welcome and welcome back to the Zach Jackson and Friends podcast. I am Zach Jackson. If you are new here, thank you. I cover the Browns for the athletic. I've been yapping into a bunch of microphones like these around Cleveland for a long time. And here we talk a lot of Browns, a lot of football in general, occasional basketball,

although that's a dirty word here in Northeast Ohio as the morning continues. Morning as an MOU.

I know a lot of you on Facebook would spell it wrong, and you do. But yeah, it's disappointing to watch

the Cavs. It just is to see how that ended.

And yeah, so there was a little bit of unplanned hiatus from the podcast. For those of you who noticed, thank you.

For those of you who have tuned back in and haven't turned me off yet, double thank you. So I'm fine. I'm good.

You know, I did have a little virus for one day that knocked me out. I had some other life things going on.

I had a little bad attitude about the calves. And frankly, after the hysteria in the wake of the Brown's rookie minicamp, and it will always just be Ricky minicamp, regardless of the name power of the players involved or the circumstances

of the team, right?

I just wanted to take a breather and make some thoughts and just give some thought to things

before we plug back in because next week, the Browns get going.

So I'm recording this on Thursday ahead of Memorial Day day weekend it's usually the kickoff of summer here in northeast ohio instead it's 51 and been raining for three straight days um but you know we'll onward we'll push and uh eventually i'll get that mulch bed done and everything else.

But the Brown start OTAs next week, three of them, starting on the day after Memorial Day, which is a pretty standard week for OTAs.

And one of every three reporters are allowed in. So no public until training camp, which will begin in late July exact details and dates,

TBD, I know. They will bring out the crowds, as they always do for the most part, but Shador

Sanders will bring out the crowds. But so anyway, for the next two weeks, we're going to get one

day to watch practice and see what we can see.

Of the beginning stages of the quarterback battle, of how they rank them, probably Kenny Pickett

first, more on that later, of how the rookies look and really how much action the rookies are

getting, right? Because when you have a four-way quarterback battle, and I do believe that at least to some extent,

this is a legitimate open competition and legitimate quarterback battle that various people in the

organization have various opinions about, but are open to letting the best man win and see
