For today's episode, our topic is The Six of Wands. So let's begin. So the six of Wands is one of those cards

you just want to see in a tarot reading. It's an indicator of success and glory.

And you know you don't need to be a terror reader to see that you know the

image is usually one that is victorious and by the way that's the beauty of

illustrative pips such as the ones in the rider-weight Smith deck.

You can see what is happening in the picture and that spurs interpretations.

Decks like the Varsi's, which do not have illustrative pips, are often more challenging for beginners.

That's why I recommend starting out with the Rider White Smith deck, because once you've gotten

the hang of that deck, you can really read any tarot deck.

By the way back of the day when yeah when I started reading tarot my first deck was the

Marsai's tarot and I gotta tell you starting out with that deck felt like starting out with calculus before I knew out of count.

It was super challenging, but you know, I like a challenge, so I kept at it.

And the reason why I started out with this deck by the way wasn't by choice.

It was the only darned tarot deck of the store.

You know so remember this was 1980 before the internet and I grew up in a rural area so there

really wasn't much to pick from at all those rare outings when we went to the

bookstore at the mall. You know so for those of you are listening to this podcast, think for a minute how different things are today.

You can go online, browse for a deck, read reviews, see pictures. You can find tarot readers or teachers online. You can take online
