How aware are you of what's going on while you're walking?

Hi, I'm Dave. I started walking for fitness in 2013. Still take an

intentional fitness walk every single day. I'm walking right now and I would love to have you

join me for the next 10 minutes. Recently, Ava and I were out walking on the paved trail that connects

our community. We walked to the back of our neighborhood,

back of our community, get on this paved trail, and it goes through a little bit of a woodsy area

and ends up near the center of town. And it's a wonderful way to get from essentially where we live, our home, to the center of town, which has restaurants and shopping.

There's a movie theater and a big, big park, big lake with another walking trail, running trail around the lake.

We're on this paved walking trail, probably most days.

And most days, nothing to see here.

Nothing to see.

And the other day we're walking along and I'm near the edge of the pavement and I at the last moment notice a snake.

It looked like about two feet of the snake was on the trail and I have no idea how much was off into the weeds and grass and leaves. The head part was like he was leaving the trail. And I stopped and watched and the snake wasn't moving.

And I waited.

And I watched.

And the Nava picked up a stick.

I'm not a fan of snakes if I've ever mentioned that.

Don't like them.

I would prefer never to meet them in the wild.

In a zoo where there's this big thick glass between me and the snake, that's a different matter.
