His last name is spelled S-C-H-A-N-T-Z. And if you've been listening to my show, you've heard him a few times. i've had him on recently on great subjects the first thing

was his new book the wiser part modern day reimagining of the scopes monkey trial we talked about that

in april 2025 so you can go back and check that and then we did a two-part uh discussion about

einstein relativity and modern physics not really my specialty in, but I'm glad he was talking about it.

It shows kind of some of the things that influence our understanding of physics and some of the politics

and some of the cultural things that are maybe behind some of our famous or contrived or sometimes people are built up in ways that we may not fully understand.

And I certainly didn't understand that when I was younger.

Now that I'm older, I understand a lot more about that.

And this is kind of on the same thing about Francis Bacon.

The title of this one, I titled this is Sir Francis Bacon is he the father of

Scientism and I think he's just a really interesting figure we were talking to pre-show

Hans and I about all the shows that I've done with Robert Frederick, Secret Life is Best,

and Shakespeare and this is really a fascinating figure.

Not really talked about enough, I would say.

But this is also going to be kind of like an intellectual history,

of Western civilization.

I think that he's an important figure.

But Hans can talk more about that.
