Hello there, Hannah here and welcome to this week's Chops. In it, I'm chatting with journalist, writer and broadcaster Samira Ahmed, and I will tell you for why.

Other than we love her, obviously.

This coming Thursday, or on the 6th of October, to save confusion if you're listening to this at a different time,

a new exhibition opens at the Science Museum.

It's called Science Fiction, Voyage to the Edge of Imagination.

And it promises to be an immersive, genre-defying exhibition in which you will embark on a once-in-a-lifetime adventure

through the cosmos to explore visions of the future through the science of today.

That bit was from the museum, not from me.

Samira is one of the biggest sci-fi fans we know and has played an advisory role in this new exhibition.

So who better to talk to about Girl Geeks, the optimism and the pessimism of sci-fi?

And why people who say, I don't like sci-fi, more often than not, turn out to actually kind of like sci-fi after all.
