Hello and welcome to this week's Sunday Chups. Mickey here, first of all hoping you're

0:18.6

all safe and not too blown off course by Storm Eunice, who has proven herself a right

0:23.6

windy Nana. In this Chups, I am joined on the Zoom by Sarah Kendall, comedian and creator

0:28.9

writer and star of the excellent Sky One series Freight, which first hit our telly's

0:34.1

back in 2019. Freight 2 has already aired in Australia and finally, finally arrives

0:40.6

on Sky One over here on February 23rd. I am delighted to report having sneakily seen

0:46.0

the preview. It's been well worth the wait. A little recap on Freight Season 1, set in

0:51.2

the late 80s, it starts with Sarah Sammy Cooper, who had renamed herself Simone and swapped

1:05.8

kids, Lenny and Tash, moved back into a childhood home with Mum Jean, a recovering alcoholic

1:10.9

and brother Jim. Oh, Jim, a full-time idiot. Sammy's very, very, very, many self-acgrandizing

1:17.6

lies very quickly begin to unravel and it all ends with Sammy Sun Lenny holding a smoking

1:22.6

gun. It's charming, smart, sincere and funny, and Freight 2 continues to superb work.

1:28.9

And both seasons tackle some really big meaty themes, domestic violence, addiction, money

1:35.6

struggles. So naturally, Sarah and I kicked off with a pretty horrific chat about toenails.

1:42.1

I think I need to clip a toenail, but I'm not going to do it now. I can feel it through

1:46.2

my sock. And when I put on my sock today, I thought that toenail needs to clip me, otherwise

1:51.0

I'm going to wear a hole in the sock. You know, like with winter, your toenails can kind

1:55.1

of, they're a bit of a runaway trend during the winter, because you're never really looking

1:58.7

at them. Less sunshine, they grow more. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And they're constantly, you're

2:03.2

sort of getting, like, putting on your socks and shoes in the dark in the cold mornings.
