Summary
Look, not everyone can be a Super Bowl contender. Plenty of teams aren't even playoff contenders. More than half the league misses the playoffs, and many of those teams are bad. Some are very bad. But that doesn't mean they can't take something from the 2024 season. Robert Mays and Conor Orr from Sports Illustrated and the MMQB find silver linings for those bad teams on this episode of The Athletic Football Show.

| 0:23.6 | aren't talking very much about right now. |
| 0:25.8 | And what we try to do today is we tried to find a silver lining for all of the teams who |
| 0:30.9 | are essentially out of the standings, of the playoff race, of our minds in the 2024 season. |
| 0:37.4 | So teams hanging in the top 10 of all these mock drafts, is there something else based |

| 1:14.9 | We've got some fun stuff to dig into today. I wanted to have you on for this conversation about silver linings concerning bad teams because you always have a good way of framing this stuff in the sense of like, all right, what can we really hang on to here? |
| 1:23.6 | That might be from your time and just proximity to the New York teams because you're always |
| 1:28.5 | having to think about things this way, which the timing on this is fantastic because Joe Douglas got |
| 1:33.4 | fired like 45 minutes ago. So we'll obviously have to fold that into the silver lining about |
| 1:39.0 | the Jets if there is one. But I just felt like you had the correct constitution where there's a realistic viewpoint |
