When John was younger, he had a vision to begin a ministry called Salt and Light.

It empowers and equips people to change their lives.

Since that time, he's not only helped ministries,

but he's helped others really any way that he can find.

In this chapter of his life,

he's learning that being used by God may look different

than what he once imagined.

Here's John.

My name's John Prince, and I am a lover of God. I came to know him when I was six years old

in the back seat of my parents' car after we left church. I get up every morning. I study my Bible.

I pray and I ask God to use me to further His kingdom on this earth.

I grew up poor, had a great childhood, loving family.

We just didn't have any money.

I wanted to be a pastor when I was a teenager because my pastor was somebody I knew personally that really helped people.

And I realized as I got older and actually asked God when I was 18 what he wanted me to do.

He didn't want me to be a pastor, but I wanted to be a pastor to help people.

And I went to school, dropped out of school, got a job in health care that God opened the door for.
