Welcome to the audible presented by Trader Joe's. I'm Stuart Mandel joined as

always by Bruce Feldman for our Wednesday episode which we held off recording for a little bit, because the

athletic and view in particular, Bruce, we're working on a kind of developing story

involving the Big 12 and helmet communication. Why don't you give us a little

more detail? Sure. So on we're taking this obviously Wednesday or early afternoon.

About 24 hours ago I started hearing from coaches and the

coaching world really was a buzz about potentially another signal stealing scandal in college football.

Now, this one, as the concern was that it was literally like signal stealing,

like in terms of the communication

and the telecommunication frequency of the radio systems

that you have either an offense coordinator

talking to their quarterback or on the other side of it,

defense coordinator talking either to safety or a linebacker that they've been using.

And there was a lot of panic.

I, from my understanding is it started in the big 12.

There's other, the systems are being used

by the same company across the power conferences and as one coach put it there's a ton of

scrambling going on right now and whether teams were going to use that

system in games this weekend was a was a issue at issue now in

our reporting somebody I had spoken to had said that they were getting an upgraded system and now it was going to be

encrypted so it would be harder to have access to. Like I said, in light of the

Connor Stallion's story last year because it was became such a big story in that investigation
