Two kids were walking along an empty road on their way home from the bus stop.

It was near sunset, but their town was known to be safe, and they had done the walk many times before with no incidents.

That was about to change.

As they trailed the same steps by a patch of wooded areas, they spotted something out of the

corner of their eyes and turned their heads at the same time.

From the dark and brown spots of the woods, they noticed something bright, red, yellow, and white. It wasn't moving, and they struggled to find out

what it was until they saw its white hand rise and begin to wave at them. It was a clown.

One of them ran back, while the other decided to run forward, quickly changing his mind

as the big red shoes of the clown started flip-flopping toward them to cross the street.

He decided to turn around, but tripped over his own feet in fear and scraped his knee. The clown laughed.

The shadow was equally as creepy.

What started as only a person walking around in a clown costume turned into a wave of clown sightings all around the world.

Some even resulting in physical attacks and arrests.
