David Pingree here on Whiskey Throttle Media. I'm joined today by Rick Johnson, former Supercross

National Motorcross Champion, and we're going to chat a little bit about the coming

supercross this weekend in Indianapolis, Lucas Oil Stadium, 43 degrees and a slight chance of rain

outside, but luckily for you fans who might be going to this event, it's inside. The weather will be perfect. Rick, this does give you, though, when you've got cold, wet conditions like this, Midwest, this dirt has been sitting outside. Exactly. They can cover it, but it still sucks. It sucks the rain up from the bottom. So going to be

ruddy. It's going to be a typical, what we call it, East Coast track, a lot like what Atlanta used to be.

You know, every time we would prep, do Anaheim and San Diego and things like that, it was always real

hard packed, typical West Coast. Then you go to Atlanta, it was that rutted, completely change your setup and all

different stuff. So I think we're going to see some of that here in Indy. Yeah, the softer dirt

tends to like draw your bike down in a little bit, makes the suspension feel soft. You're looking

for more bottom end a lot of times, at least back in the old two stroke days. I think they don't

have that struggle as much, but definitely a factor. And it's going to be way slower when it comes to mile per hour than we had here at

Daytona.

Absolutely, absolutely.
