Today I am so excited to have one of my favorite new entrepreneurs in the studio with me.

Sarah Tishgar, the co-founder of the Cookware Startup Great Jones.

The company just launched with a simple stylish 5-piece debut of essential cookware, including

The Duchess, which is a Dutch oven that comes in great colors such as broccoli, mustard,

blueberry, and Earl Grey, not to mention a Teflon-free non-stick ceramic frying pan.

It's a fresh addition into the somewhat staggy world of expensive cookware and it's already

generating a massive buzz.

And of course, since this is Second Life, you probably realize that Sierra doesn't come

from a manufacturing background or even a cookware background and you'd be right.

Prior to launching her company, she was actually a food editor at New York Magazine's

Grub Street where she won a James Beard Award for her work.

She's going to tell us all about her journey.

Okay, Sierra, so with this podcast, we always like to start at the beginning.

So what did you study in school and what did you think you were going to be when you grew

up?

I studied journalism at Northwestern University.

And it's funny if you ask my co-founder, Maddie, we went to summer camp together even
