spooky season.

And not only that, we're going to be talking about showgirls, death becomes her, hocus

pocus, midnight movies, cult classics, how does something become a cult classic?

So let me back into this.

I was watching the showgirls documentary, you don't know me.

And the doc's express purpose is to examine why showgirls has had this entire second life

over the 20 plus years that it's been around.

Like it's interesting to ponder why we can like something that is so strange, so flawed,

so completely reviled and rejected by the arbiters of quote unquote taste when it was

released.

See, it wasn't until showgirls was embraced as a joke that people found to not only

mock it as sport, but to actually worship it.

So let me welcome Peach's Christ, who performed and produced full blown musical theater productions

based on showgirls.
