This is full of brilliant stories of trade union fist fights, his father's involvement in D Day and searing political sense. Tom was the Labour MP for his hometown from 2010 to 2017. He stood down at the 2017 election in protest against Jeremy Corbyn's leadership. That was just one of many principled decisions Tom has taken in his life. He's a member of the Army Reserve and explains his support for monarchy and what it means to members of the armed forces. This is an absolute corker.

0:15.0	sop, the former Labour MP for Middlesbrough South and East Cleveland.
0:19.0	I chose Tom specifically for this episode because he's in the Army Reserve.
0:23.0	He's a very patriotic man and I thought it would be really interesting to talk to a working class Labour person.
0:29.0	Labour person about patriotism and monarchy and things like that.
0:34.0	There is also a load more in this that is very, very funny about the Corbyn years.
0:39.0	And as you'll know if you follow Tom on social media and you absolutely should, he is fearless.
0:45.0	He is very direct and he is very, very funny.
0:48.0	All those things come out in this interview before that. It's a pleasure to be back.

0:54.0	It feels like a live time ago now. This is the first show back obviously.
0:59.0	Now the next live show is meant to be a Monday the 19th September, which, as you know, is the same days the Queen's funeral.
1:05.0	So obviously that's not happening. And that was meant to be with Emily Maithless and John Soaple.
1:10.0	We're postponing that but effectively rearranging it for another date.

1:16.0	And as soon as I've sorted out a new date with Emily and John, I will announce that on the show,
