Good morning everyone and welcome back to picking up with the Masters who devote ourselves to the Lord daily with you.

Good morning, indeed we're picking up with the new devotion on the Bible app titled

Start Your Fast Well, which is actually a very interesting topic and a type of

devotional that we haven't done before.

Yeah.

But I felt really inspired when I stumbled across it because, you know, it's a new new year you see a lot of people doing

Daniel fasts you see people doing social media fast you see all these different things

and I've personally have never fasted not that that I don't want to, but I had like a heart posture that was like going to try to abuse it.

Anyways, that's either here nor there.

But I've just been so encouraged to just kind of learn more about this topic and Tor and I will we might discuss about something that maybe we want to fast throughout the duration of this devotional or even maybe something afterwards so we're excited for you guys to join us with it.

And I'm going to read the scriptures and then Tori's going to pick up the devo.

Let's do it.

The first scripture is 2 Chronicles chapter 7 verse 14 and it says this.

Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways.

I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.

The second scripture is Isaiah chapter 57 verse 15. The high and lofty one who lives in

Isa chapter 57 verse 15 and it says this

The high and lofty one who lives in eternity the holy one says this I live in the high and holy place with those whose spirits are contrite and humble. I restore the crushed spirit of the humble and revive the courage of those with repentant hearts. And the last scripture is Matthew

chapter 4 verses 1 through 4 and they say this. Then Jesus was led by the spirit into

the wilderness to be tempted there by the devil. For 40 days and 40 nights he fasted and became very
