| 0:00.0 | Welcome, everyone to the score fantasy football podcast. I'm your host, Justin Boone, the lead fantasy analyst at the score. And it's always a great feeling knowing how many of your downloading and listening to the show every week. So thank you so much for that. And our string of awesome guests, it continues today. We got Dave Klugey of football guys joining us a bit later. We're going to go over whether you should be buying or selling some of the key fantasy players heading into week six and for the rest of the season. But before we bring Dave in, I want to highlight three players that I'm trying to acquire right now. And we've hit on some really big ones in recent weeks for this segment, guys like Jaden Reed and T. Higgins, among others. So let's take a look at my top trade targets this week as we kick things up a notch with our friends at Frank's Red Hot. Let's Frank it up. |
| 0:54.5 | And the first name on my list heading into week six, |
| 0:56.9 | Jacobi Myers on the Raiders. |
| 0:58.7 | Devante Adams is sitting out until he gets traded. |
| 1:01.3 | That makes Myers the new number one receiver in Vegas. |
| 1:03.9 | And he quietly finished as the wide receiver 25 in fantasy points per game last year with Adams around. |
| 1:09.9 | He's also earned 19 targets over the last two weeks since Adams decided to sit out. |
| 1:14.7 | With that kind of volume, Myers is a fantasy wide receiver three with wide receiver two |
| 1:18.7 | upside the rest of the season. |
| 1:20.6 | The second player you should be trading for, Devon A-chan on the Dolphins. |
| 1:24.9 | He started the season like a top five running back. |
| 1:27.3 | He had 100 yards and a touchdown in each of the first two games, but he's had three down weeks since then because Tuataga Viloa is on IR. The dolphins are struggling to find a replacement at quarterback. And to make matters worse, Achan's in the concussion protocol now himself. However, he's also on by this week. He should return in week seven, ready to go. And there's reports that Tua could return as early as week eight. And if Tua's back for the second half of the season, A-chan would immediately become a strong RB1 play again. I'm willing to roll the dice on that happening. So see if you can swing a deal for A-chan this week. And then the final name on my list, T.J. Hawkinson on the Vikings. He's still working his way back from that torn ACL that he suffered late last season. But the team has opened up his practice window. That means he should be back in the next few weeks. And given the state of the tight end position around the league and how good the Vikings offense has looked, Hawkinson might end up being one of the better plays down the stretch for fantasy. So don't wait any longer. Let's hope the manager with Hawkinson has found another good tight end option over the first month or so here. You can swoop in. You can scoop up Hawkinson at a discount before he comes back and starts putting up tight end one stats again. And like I always say, you know your league best. You have a better idea how to approach trade talks with different managers in your league. So you could check out my updated trade value charts over at the score. Use that as the guide, figure out which players you could package together and try to make a trade offer. And then send out some offers and take your roster and frank it up, just like our friends at Frank's Red Hot. All right, let's get our guests in here. Dave Klugey, a football guy's, a longtime friend of the show, and another analyst who we've gotten to see rise up the industry the last few years, very well deserved. You should be falling to him on X or Twitter at Dave Kluge. And he's not just a good analyst. |
| 3:08.4 | He's a really fun dude to talk to. |
| 3:10.2 | Whenever I get a chance to have him on here or to jump on his show, I always enjoy it. So Dave, welcome back, man. How you been here? How's life going? How's fantasy season going? How the heck are you? I'm doing great, man. It's been way too long since you and I have done a show together, Justin. |
| 3:23.2 | I remember the last show we did was prior to last off season when we did a hot take episode with you and Corey Spela and we said, let's bring some hot dakes. I remember Corey Spela coming with some scorching takes at the time and I ended up hitting on almost every single one of them. That was one of my favorite shows of last off season. But yeah, been way too long, man. In season is just so much fun, so much to go through. We got a lot to talk about today. Always appreciate the invite. And we were jingsing ourselves a bit before the show talking about the few times when we've actually lost episodes. And it's funny that you bring up that episode with Corey, because I think the first time we went to record that I had issues my |
| 3:57.9 | USB port on my laptop I one of the two ports stopped working and I joked with you I was like |
| 4:03.5 | well we can either have really good audio or really good video one or the other and you said |
| 4:07.3 | why don't we just record a different day and I was like yeah that works too and then fortunately |
| 4:11.2 | we were able to do the episode so fingers crossed here that all this talk |
| 4:14.8 | before the show about episodes we've lost and had to re-record that that is not going to come |
| 4:19.1 | into play today at all but for today's show i wanted to switch up our format a little bit instead of |
| 4:24.7 | going like question by question i want to go player by player and i want to do this as a buy and sell |
