Well, we've turned the page. Tigers offseason begins today. Free agency starts. And yes, there's more than Scoobel. The question is simple. Is it time for this team to get serious or do you want to stay the course? You choose. Free agency is only a part of that picture. I think it's time for Scott Harris. Unfortunately, you can't just stay safe your whole life.

You got to put your ass in the jackpot and you got to make a deal.

Because candidly, free agency, hey, look, you can name a player.

I'll tell you what the projected contract is.

That is not an efficient way of spending your money.

I think if you make a big free agent signing in concert with a big trade, you're going to find a player on a better contract, better AAV, team control, and you're going to pay with a different

currency, prospects.

To me, that's the perfect way to add two bats to this team, primarily from the right side,

and firm up this lineup.

And I got news for you, I'd have no problem sending one of Riley Green or Carrie Carpenter

as a part of that deal.

I don't think you need both.

And if you dealt one, it would open up the possibility of adding a left-handed bat that is

simply superior to those two.

But I just want to know, is it time for them to get serious?

Or are you cool just continuing on the plan?

See, I think it is time to get serious, Mike, but you kind of touched upon it right before we went to the break.

When the other teams in a division aren't even trying it looks like seems like feels like

you don't have to be as serious because you're going to probably win this division

or at least be right there to win the division every year but if you don't consider your

competition the yankees the blue jaysays, the Mariners, is that true?

Well, then that's a different way of doing business.
