So all anyone can focus on is Hurricane Milton.

And of course, all I can think of is Milton from office space.

And if they had just given him his swingline stapler and not moved him to the basement or fix the glitch, the hurricane never would have made landfall. So I've lived in California

for decades now. I moved there right after high school. It came to New York for MTV, moved back to

L.A. Still have a place there.

I love going back.

But, you know, one of the things we know as California residents is our houses could be consumed by either wildfires or earthquakes or mudslides really at any time.

And the thing about earthquakes is you have no warning. In Florida,

there are always hurricane warnings. You know for days and, you know, sometimes seven to ten

days, over a week that you've got this massive storm coming. And I'm always confounded by the people who stay in the storm's path.
