I have, but you know what? I really didn't enjoy writing this. I think my tolerance for

horrible grizzly shit. I don't even watch like really awful horror films anymore like I used to do.

I think my tolerance for it has slowly just fallen off a cliff as I've gotten older. I don't know

why, but I really did not enjoy myself yesterday when I was writing this script, but hopefully we will

enjoy recording it and hopefully you listeners will enjoy listening to it. Yeah, it's a lot. It's a

lot. I've tried to make it as not horrible as possible. Okay. Maybe some feels stop listening if I

say that, so maybe let's not say that. Let's get into it, right? However, you cut it. Life in the

middle ages was pretty shit. Chances are that you'd have been a farmer, whether you were a man,

woman or small child, apparently. You'd have worked night and day in the fields trying to

eke out some sort of living, and if you did have any children, there was only a 50% chance that each

child you had would make it to their first birthday. So that's pretty miserable. If you got ill,

then the cure that you might find yourself being prescribed would probably be just as likely to

kill you as the ailment itself. Oh, and if you survived all that by some miraculous chance,

then there was the little matter of the black death. That, and I didn't know this, that at its peak

was killing about 7,500 people a day. Wow. That's a lot of people. Yeah. So bad times to be alive

in Europe. We are focusing particularly on Europe today. Like that, I do have to say that.

Like this is, this is very Eurocentric. Is the bubonic plague curable with antibiotics?

Today it is. Yes. Yes. Bubonic plague can be cured by antibiotics, I believe. I don't think it's

virus. I think it's bacteria. I think it's bacterial. Idiots. I did watch one of those monsters

inside me where a couple went to New York and got the bubonic plague. I've seen that one.
