I'm Hillary Kerr and this is Second Life, a podcast spotlighting women who have truly

inspiring careers.

We're talking about their work journeys, what they've learned from the process of setting

aside their doubts or fears, and what happens when they embark on their second life.

Today, I couldn't be happier to have Shiona Torini on this podcast if I tried.

I am just beside myself with Joy because she is a delightful human and, frankly, a genius.

She and her career in the fashion world first at YSL and PR, and then she moved over to

become the accessories editor at W Magazine and the accessories director at Teen Vogue.

She was the fashion market director at CR Fashion Book and Cosmopolitan, and then she made

a pivot.

Well, too technically.

First, she worked as a fashion consultant for a variety of brands ranging from Amazon to

Dior and more, and then she moved into styling, working on some small videos you might have

heard of, such as Beyoncé's Formation and Salon Chnoles don't touch my hair and cranes

in the sky.

And then she made another big jump and she is now a costume designer, having just wrapped

on the amazing HBO show in Secure.

She also just finished work on her second show and I am feeling very lucky that she took

the time to come and speak with me today.
