| 0:00.0 | Welcome everyone to the SCORE fantasy football podcast. |
| 0:17.2 | I'm your host, Justin Boone, the lead fantasy analyst at The Score. |
| 0:57.8 | Thank you so much for downloading and listening to the show today. I hope you're locked in and focused on getting that ever-important week 16 win and punching your ticket into the fantasy championship. We're to do our best to help you get ready for that today. But before we get our guest in here, let's take a look at my top targets this week, presented by Audible. There's more to imagine when you listen. And the first player that I think you should be trying to acquire before week 16, Taj Spears on the Titans. He's only rostered in about half a leagues right now. I don't understand why I think he should be rostered everywhere. Tony Pollard's been playing at less than 100% for a while. And Poll seemed to aggravate that ankle injury on Sunday again and it's probably going to be another week of DNPs or limited practices and Pollard's probably |
| 1:01.9 | going to suit up and play through it but we're near in the end of the season. |
| 1:05.3 | There's no guarantees that he's going to keep gutting it out like this and even if |
| 1:08.7 | he is starting we've seen what a healthy Taji Spears can do in this offense. He just continues to flash most recently, 92 scrimmage yards and a pair of touchdowns on just 10 touches versus the Bengals last weekend. And it only makes sense to get him more involved over the next few weeks. And the matchups during the rest of the fantasy playoffs, they're very good. They get the Coltsts and the Jags both are top 10 in terms of fantasy points allowed to running backs this season and Spears he's had a good amount of success versus India |
| 1:35.3 | I mean you go back to last year double digit fantasy points in both meetings despite the fact that he was sharing the backfield then so if you're in one of these 50% of leagues where Spears is still on waivers, you go out, you get him now. And if you have him, you consider using him as an upside RB3 flex option this week. For my second player, I'm looking at Malik Washington on the Dolphins. Jalen Waddle injured his knee on the weekend. It seemed like it was going to be really bad. Fortunately, he did avoid a serious injury. |
| 2:01.3 | They're calling him day to day at the moment, but he didn't practice on Wednesday. So we'll see if he can get back out there at some point this week. |
| 2:07.7 | Right now, I'm projecting that he is going to be out for week 16. And with Miami cutting O'Dell Beckham last week, that means the rookie Malik Washington has a chance to sneak into fantasy lineups here he played a season high 59% of the snaps in week 15 he turned |
| 2:21.8 | that into six targets five catches and 52 yards and even after waivers went |
| 2:26.5 | through in most leagues on Tuesday night Washington still rostered in 0% of |
| 2:30.7 | leagues overall I'm guessing they're rounding down on that one, but still, he's |
| 2:34.8 | available almost everywhere and he is a potential wide receiver for flex option if |
| 2:39.4 | Waddle can't suit up. And then for the last player that I'm going to recommend today, |
| 2:42.9 | we're going to the Raiders backfield and it's just been a revolving door all |
| 2:46.6 | season long because of injuries. Sincere McCormick, he's the latest to get hurt. Now |
| 2:50.4 | he's on IR. So that puts Amir Abdullah and Alexander Madison back in play for fantasy. And don't get me wrong. These guys are just RB3 flex options. These guys aren't weak winners or league winners or anything like that. And if your team's going strong, hopefully you're not going to have to consider them. But there's a lot of managers out there who lost David Montgomery or Nick Chubb or maybe you're at risk of Alvin Kamara not playing this week. So people need running back options. And Abdullah, he's the guy that I'm highlighting because he's only rostered 19% of leagues right now. And we've seen him have some decent fantasy weeks over the last month or so he's got two rb1 fantasy finishes |
| 3:24.8 | in the last four weeks and that's mostly thanks to his receiving work but this |
| 3:29.2 | team often finds itself trailing so that's a lane that you can go down they are |
| 3:33.2 | going to have to throw the ball quite a bit and if you look at abdula 65 scrimmage |
| 3:37.1 | yards five catches and a receiving touchdown in week 12 then this past game 66 yards seven catches and a receiving touchdown in week 12. Then this past game, 66 yards, seven catches and a receiving touchdown. And the two games in between where the production wasn't as strong, that was when McCormick was breaking out. Now we know McCormick is out of the way. So you could do worse than Abdullah as a flex option in your lineup. But go take a look at my rankings. You can use those. you can compare the players you have to these guys that I'm mentioning. And don't worry too much about the values for the rest of the season. You should be focused on getting the win in the fantasy semifinals. And just imagine what your team would look like if you listen to me and you add these guys. So let's call an audible on your roster and let's make some moves this week. All right. let's get our guest in here. Matt Donnelly at Dynasty Vipers and Roto Baller and fantasy points. The man stays busy and you can follow him in all his content on X and Blue Sky at Matt Donnelly FF. He is making his triumphant return to the show. It is a long time in the making, but waiting a couple months to do this. Mr. Donnelly, welcome back, buddy. How are you holding up here as the holiday season, but maybe more importantly, the end of the fantasy season is approaching? How you doing, man? I'm still trying to figure out how we got here into week 16 already. I just, I literally just wrote my starts and sits for week number 16. And then we had the whole James Winston thing go down. So I had to rewrite everything because I had Jerry Judy in there, had James Winston in there. And on top of all that, it's like kids got their hockey, kids got their basketball. There's Christmas concerts going on. I mean, it's not just our fantasy realm that's busy. It's everything around us at this time of the year. You feel like you're being pulled in multiple directions here, and you're going nowhere anytime fast. That's kind of where we're at right now as we enter week 16, fantasy football playoffs. I mean, where's the time gone there, Justin? Where is it gone? I know. It's always crazy i was talking to pat fitz morris about |
| 5:22.4 | this last week and it's like around this time of year the fantasy season is supposed to be winding |
