Tonight I'll be reading Sherlock Holmes,

a study in Scarlet by Arthur Conan Doyle, Part 1, Chapter 7, and Part 2, Chapter 1. In the previous chapter, to one.

In the previous chapter, Sherlock had posted an ad in the local papers regarding a

found wedding ring as a trap for the suspected culprit.

In the certainty he would be looking to retrieve what he left at the scene of the crime.

Oms and Watson were fooled, however, as the villain had come disguised as an old woman

and managed to get away from Holmes with the ring during a pursuit.

Inspector Gregson arrived the next day. pursuit. who housed the American victim during his day in England.

The landlady confessed that her son had an altercation with the victim,

Mr Dreber, but protested his innocence.

The episode ended with Inspector Lestrade arriving to announce that Mr. Dreber's assistant, Mr.

Strangerson, had been found dead that morning.
