At an event one night whilst working in property and feeling quite underwhelmed by the canopays, Lily Simpson decided she could do better.

Six months later, in 2011, she set up her own catering company, Lily's Lovely Bites.

When a friend asked her to cook and deliver healthy food to her door,

she spotted a gap in the market for a company that did just that and the detox kitchen

was born. Since then it's safe to say that like all successful entrepreneurs,

she hasn't sat still and has gone on to write the

highly acclaimed detox kitchen Bible, open three delis and builds a food delivery

business which now offers eight different packages and is loved by the likes of

Gwyneth Palcho, Al MacPherson, Suki Waterhouse,

even Michael McIntyre and Will Farrell I'm told, which is quite a list.

Thank you for joining us. I read that after university you went into property and it was there

whilst you were at a drunks party eating boring canopays that you had the idea of starting your own

catering company is that how it all started that is how it all started yeah so I have

always wanted to start my own company and I was working in property he'd been

working in property for four years and wasn't particularly enjoying it

and didn't feel particularly fulfilled I suppose in my role and we were doing some

launch events and the catering was was pretty poor and I knew that I could probably do better so I literally just asked my boss if I could cater on the side.

He said yes and it kind of just started from there.

I started catering for them and then...
