| 0:00.0 | This is an IHeart podcast. |
| 0:08.3 | Happy Tuesday. Welcome to the fifth thing. |
| 0:11.7 | This is the bonus episode to the Four Things podcast where I go over emails that you have sent in. |
| 0:16.8 | And the quote I'm going to share with you today is about expressing appreciation. |
| 0:21.5 | So I just want to start off by saying how much I appreciate you emailing the podcast. Like it's not lost on me |
| 0:28.8 | that that's, that's a big deal. We've always known it was a big deal on the Bobby Bone show for |
| 0:32.9 | people to email in or pick up the phone and call in to be on the show. So I feel the same way about the podcast. |
| 0:39.9 | I want to get some sort of a phone line voicemail situation going for the podcast. I'll keep you all |
| 0:45.9 | posted in 2021 what that will look like. But that way I can actually hear from y'all instead of |
| 0:51.5 | just reading your emails. I think that would be fun. We've been doing voicemails on the Bobby Bone Show for a few months now, and it's been really neat to connect with people that way. So much so that on mornings where I haven't had coffee or maybe I'm just a little out of it, the person on the voicemail will say morning studio. And if you listen to the Bobby Bone show, then you know when someone says that, we all reply, morning, but you have to say it exactly like that. Morning studio, sometimes people call in and they're like, hey, good morning, everybody in the room and we're like, nope, or good morning show. And we're like, nope, nope, it's morning studio. So anyway, my point of this story is sometimes I sound ridiculous because Bobby's playing a voicemail, but I think it's a |
| 1:28.6 | legit real caller that's live. And they say morning studio and I reply back, morning. And then that's |
| 1:34.9 | when Bobby looks at me like, oh, are you doing okay today? And I'm like, I don't know. Sorry about that. |
| 1:40.2 | But I do want to set up a voicemail line for the podcast, my whole point in sharing that story. |
| 1:45.0 | And then also to, yes, let y'all know how much I appreciate each and every email that comes in. |
| 1:49.8 | If I haven't replied to you, it doesn't mean I don't appreciate it. |
| 1:52.9 | I try to get to every email. |
| 1:54.9 | That's not always possible to reply back to every single person. |
| 1:58.6 | I wish I had the bandwidth to do that, but I currently don't, |
| 2:03.5 | but I don't want you to think for a second that I don't appreciate the email. So here's the quote |
| 2:08.6 | that I pulled from our new Four Things Gratitude Journal. It is from Ralph Maston. Make it a habit to tell |
| 2:15.2 | people thank you, to express your appreciation sincerely and without |
| 2:19.0 | the expectation of anything in return truly appreciate those around you and you'll soon find |
