in field, power at the corners, versatility up the middle, opening day just two days away,

right? Thursday, Friday, when Nichols comes to town to the newly renovated Lindsay Nelson Stadium,

talking with Tennessee baseball in segment number three.

Hoops at the hump. Tennessee trying to get back on track. Tennessee basketball after blowing a 14-point

lead at Kentucky, a good pallet cleanser, if you will. At Mississippi State, one of the worst teams in the league.

Tennessee should win. That one will get you set for Tennessee basketball late, late tonight in segment

number two.

But first, we begin our show looking at a new potential cornerback coach, or at least some

targets, I should say, for Tennessee because Michael Hunter has departed for the NFL.

If you're wondering who Michael Hunter is, well, he was hired last month.

He was hired to reunite with Jim Knowles, new Tennessee defensive coordinator. They spent time together at Ohio State, where he's

been highly regarded as a really hands-on coach and a good coach when it comes to cornerbacks

when it comes to Nichols. And of course, Jim Knowles left and went to Penn State.

Well, when he's now at Tennessee, he was assembling his staff.

He went out and got Anthony Poindexter to run his secondary to be the co-defensive coordinator.

Of course, we brought in Andrew A.J. Jackson help with the ends.

He retained Ronnie Garner, retained William Minge.

But when he came to coaching the corners, he went back to someone that he worked with previously at Ohio State.

And that would be Michael Hunter, Jr., who did a good job with him over at Ohio State.
