learn by now. Hey. He smiles when he spots her in the doorway, also easily distracted,

and not with the best hearing, would have cost him his life where it's someone else.

Camilla smiles back.

When he stretches, his toes curl, and his stupidly big arm muscles flex.

She licks her lips.

She takes the few steps separating them and straddles his lap.

Ryder lets out a small, startled sound. He's so much like a mouse sometimes. He puts his phone on the coffee table and places his hands on Camilla's thighs.

I'm hungry, she says.

Should we order something?

Ryder blinks up at her.

There's that new restaurant.

Mike said it's good.

I can check if they have.

Camilla cuts him off with a kiss.

While she doesn't need to eat food, she indulges in it,

and likes trying out new things and cooking, likes cooking for Ryder. So it's cute whenever he

thinks of her and what she likes, researches places to go to for her vampire cravings.

Not that kind of hungry, she tells him, stroking his cheek with her thumb. Ryder blinks again.
