On October 27th, Special Counsel Robert Mueller announced charges against three of Trump's campaign advisors.

One of them, George Papadopoulos, pled guilty to having lied to the FBI about his contacts

with the Russians and agreed to cooperate with investigators.

We now know that in March 2016, Jeff Sessions, then the senior senator from Alabama,

and a top policy advisor for Trump, led a meeting in which Papadopoulos suggested setting up a meeting between Trump and Putin.

Attorney General Sessions testified a few weeks ago that he hadn't known anyone in the Trump campaign with connections to Russia.

On Tuesday, in his testimony before the House Judiciary Committee, he corrected the record.

Frankly, I had no recollection of this meeting until I saw these news reports.

I do now recall that the March 2016 meeting at the Trump Hotel that Mr. Papadopoulos attended,
