I went from being unable to run a mile to conquering four marathons the following year.

Now, I want to help others manufacture big breakthroughs of their own.

I think I want to start talking about this.

I do feel a lot of shame around my addiction.

Here I am running this health company. And I wonder

if I tell people like, hey, you know, 10 years ago I was a drug addict, if they would think less of me

or if I would lose credibility. So I started sharing it and talking about it. And of course, the,

you know, feedback was overwhelmingly positive. And the more I shared, the more I realized that

I didn't have to be ashamed. And talking about this stuff

actually helped to relieve the shame. And from there, it just became like, okay, you know,

as I'm ready, as I feel like I'm processing things effectively with myself and my family and

in therapy, like, what else can I share? And now I'm at the point where I'm like, oh, I'll

basically talk about anything. I do still have some boundaries. But like, if I can I share? And now I'm at the point where I'm like, oh, I'll basically talk about anything.

I do still have some boundaries, but like, if I can go first and give other people permission

to talk about some of this stuff that has historically been very taboo, I'm happy to do that.

I have a platform and like I'll use it for that.
